Crowd is shouting slogans..

We will fight, we will win.

We are going to tell about all that happened with us in 2 days.. the truth of all that has happened with us.. please keep quiet.. there was no notice given to us and we were told to collect proof in a few days..

They fought with us and told us that why is your door always closed? Are you trying to break it all down? Sir is on a leave and will come in a few days.. we came back and went again in a few days.. we asked to meet him and he didn't allow us to meet.. we went time and again and asked to meet him and they said it will take 7-8 days more.. they said the demolition won't happen now.. it won't happen this year - they said..

They said there is no demolition this year.. it will take a week for your application to go.. we will change the gutter line in a few days.. we heard them and came back but the next day in the morning the police slowly started to come... we don't even have a bathroom here...

Whatever has been said by madam now.. they have told us to do a survey.. we are citizens of India.. it is not our fault.. we have all the rights to live in India..

Audience claps..

We will do the development of Mumbai.. we will do something to feed our children... we don't indulge in fraud.. Medha has to apply for the Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha elections...

Audience claps..

People can't stay in these 2 feet flats.. these are very small rooms.. we have applied to give a room of atleast 4 feet..

Audience claps again.

Medha Patkar: They razed with bulldozers without giving any prior notice. The deputy collector - Dhananjay Sawant - telling him everything about the notice not being given and telling him and that it is illegal..

Medha Patkar: People have been killed and hurt. Their legs have been fractured. Police hit people with lathis on their head. Even an old lady had been attacked. This is illegal. False allegations had been made on us.

Medha Patkar: They will raze houses further. We have to stop them - that is our first duty. It is the duty of the police to maintain law and order.

"Visthapan Virodhi Yatra...slum dwellers lead their struggle against forced eviction in and around Sathe Nagar, demanding their Right to housing and declaring that their elected representatives - MLA and MP, are absconding."
