Reverend Vasantkumar's verdict takes into account the Church as an institution, and speaks to some of its ideas vis-a-vis minority populations and their rights.

Thank you for this opportunity that you have given to me. I have spoken in many forums, but this is the first time, I am speaking with friends who belong to the trans-sex or whatever you call yourself. For me, you are like human beings, that's it. As Father already said, whatever I say is not the church's view, my personal view and as a woman, I have been involved in speaking out for the women, women rights and now I am involved with the children, so I also speak about the children's right. I feel that I have missed out something after listening to our friends when they share their experiences, because I knew that they have a difficult life. But I never knew that it was so dismay. One thing, as I listened to them, one thing prompted me that is God created us as human beings and all of us are equal in the sight of God. And it is been the human tendency, whenever people were different from accepted now, the society always treated them badly, always inflicted violence. Psychological, social, physical and mental violence for the people who are different. Just 3 months ago I was, 4 months ago I was, part of the conference. There the question of human sexuality was a big question which was at the point of dividing it the community. But I was happy that the spirit at work and whenever they come to our consciousness to say, whether whatever my sexual preferences may be, I am a creation of God. God created me. And I agree with my sister who said, this departmenting or segregating or keeping them aside is not going to solve the problem. They should become part of the society. I agree with that. So, the family, the society, the friends and as it is pointed off, the justice system, the medical system, everywhere people face problems because they are different from ordinary human beings. It is not their fault. It is the natural inclination. And how do we, you know, take this into our mind, accept this into our mind?
