Summary: Assam reeled under the shadow of the COVID-19 pandemic with negative fallouts resulting from the pandemic growing day by day. Despite all efforts by the state, vaccination rates remained low.
The Farm2Food Foundation, a non-profit social enterprise began, generating awareness on the need to vaccinate, increasing accessibility to the vaccine, and addressing hesitancy, misinformation, and false news regarding the vaccine with the help of field workers, community health workers and mobilisers, and others in the remote parts of Sarupathar block in Golaghat district of Assam. In this remote border area National Health Mission, Azim Premji Philanthropic Initiative and Farm2Food Foundation worked together to achieve 94% vaccination rate.
