Summary: Footprint: An initiative towards Zero Waste Silluk Village
Once considered an 'unclean village', it became the cleanest village due to the excellent work done by the community and village youth under Swachh Bharat Mission. This is the story of Silluk, a small village in Arunachal Pradesh.
Amin Nozmul Islam is from Boko, Sontoli of Kamrup district, Assam. As GreenHub fellow, his internship was under the organisation 'Nature's Orbit', through which he was sent to Silluk village under Mebo block in the Pasighat district of Arunachal Pradesh, India. There he documented the daily lives, culture, food habits, etc. of the Adi community and the changes they have brought to their village.
