V: In this car, a reporter masquerading as a representative from NISMA, a made-up organization, is going to meet BSP MP Narendra Kumar Kushwaha.

V: The hidden camera has been switched on beforehand.

V: There are many people present in the drawing room of Kushwaha, the MP belonging to Mirzapur district in Uttar Pradesh.

V: The reporter is called to his office inside the flat.

V: You can see from the camera how Kushwaha accepted Rs. 10,000 and as per the deal struck earlier, asked to send the cheque of the balance amount.

Reporter (R): ...didn't accept the entire amount and took only Rs. 10,000, saying that he thinks there is a requirement for cash...

[continues] that I should give the remaining amount of 10[k] that is left with us.

MP: Arre yaar, this much is...
R: Okay? You may check it.

MP: So tell me, when is he leaving on a trip?

R: Here.
MP: You can keep it.

R: Arre, no no. Don't ask me to keep it. Here's Rs. 10,000 which brings the total to Rs. 30,000.

R: Your cheque for Rs. 4 lakh 70 thousand will be with you in a week.

MP: Ask for the cheque day after tomorrow.

R: He had asked me for it after a week.

MP: Try.
R: I will definitely try but please let's agree on a week.

MP: Try to get the cheque.

R: Once again, take a look at how the MP Narendra Kumar Kushwaha accepted Rs. 10,000 to ask a question in the Lok Sabha.

V: Date- November 6, 2005.
Place- 64, North Avenue, New Delhi.

V: In a meeting with MP Narendra Kumar Kushwaha, the director of a fake firm NISRA, Navratan Malhotra, is present.

V: In the meeting, MP Kushwaha also mentioned that instead of contacting several MPs, all the work can be done through him.

MP: There is no need for submitting several questions. Just give it to me.

MP: We have 19 MPs from Bahujan Samaj Party. We will make the reliable ones talk about it, including myself.

I will ask the questions too. We ask questions as per the money paid. I hope you are not taping it.

Don't try to dupe me,
line bohot lambi hai hamari. We have to work for the poor. So...

V: As the conversation progressed, Narendra Kushwaha said that to bring up questions for so many years, he will charge Rs. 5 lakh.

MP: For this year, I asked him to pay up Rs. 5 lakhs.

Navratan (N): 5 lakhs? Okay, can we do this by cheque?
MP: No.

MP: I will speak factually; and listen, MPs and others don't accumulate a lot of money.

V: At the onset, Kushwaha refused to take money but by the end, he was ready to accept the money for asking questions in the Lok Sabha in the name of his personal secretary, Ajay.

N: The accountants are very smart in such matters.
MP: Okay, give the cheque of the balance amount to Ajay.

N: I hope you understand that we are always worried about when the question will be asked.

MP: From today onwards... Now, there is a timetable to asking...
