When the Sikkim activists from ACT were arrested on false pretext and put in jail, they continued their ‘protest’ from within this space of detainment, refusing to be called or to call themselves ‘prisoners’ the continued to call themselves as ‘strikers’. They said that whatever they were doing outside must continue inside.
Again, a juxtaposition of logics and scales: legal-economic, the uniforms of the police officers; set against strikers/prisoners released to stand trial after 42 days in jail.
