Summary: There really is no big reason why we filmed this. We were stuck and boxed up in a share taxi and had to have the windows rolled up because of all the dust. At some point one of the others started making some long random conversation so we decided to excuse ourselves by pretending to shoot. Once we started filming it looked really cool, with this biker near this cloud of smoke. It looked like it had the making of an adventure film or a highly political one talking about all these dams that are being built and all that. We also briefly spoke about doing something completely abstract and maybe working on an edit that plays purely with form. Take shades and textures and lines and curves and try and find a highly visual story telling style. Something that doesn’t necessarily have a tangible meaning but is open to interpretation and can maybe do things emotionally to the viewer. Of course we did no such thing. The need for meaning and a reason to do things or have something in the film is too much. Maybe someday we will take some time out and really play with all this.
