This is the Radio Afgan staff with the musician/guitarist, Ustad Armaan on the right. The lady is famous Afghan singer called Parisa Morsal.The man beside Ustad Armaan was in charge of the News department. The man on the left is from the PDPA. You can tell because of the trademark moustache and the long sideburns.
On the left is Russian leader, Leonid Brezhnev. On the right is Taraki - 1st President of Communist Afghanistan. The Russians controlled the running of the government in Afghanistan during this time.
This is a painting of Lenin - the leader of Comminist Party in Russia.
On the right of screen, in the centre is Taraki. To his right is Hafizullah Amin, Taraki's deputy. On his left is the Commander of the Closed Protection Guard. On left of screen is the first ambassador of Russia.
Engineer Latif: How Amin killed Taraki! He had him smothered with a pillow. It was of course never made public officially. Maybe some secret documents exist, but it was never made official. He (Amin) was a very dangerous man. But very sweet. He was always laughing. All the time.
