Summary: Mustapha Benfodils' work at the Sharjah Biennial 10 was orginally installed as in
this photo and
this one. This video shows its complete removal and erasure by local authorities, for supposed blasphemy, becoming its own dramatic picture. The brief video of the courtyard was taken from the gate marked N in the first photo, while the biennial was still open, the usual access to this courtyard having been cut off by a newly-built wall.
Also visible in the video is apparently collateral damage to the nearby metal panel by Walid Sadek, whose original you can see...
