Recently there was a grand ceremony organized at the headquarters of regiment number 88 of Mahtab Qalah which was attended by some of the generals and some of high rank officers of the Republican Army. In this ceremony interesting speeches about republican system were given.
Dr. Mohammad Hasan Sharq, the Deputy Prime Minister, members of the cabinet, some of the high rank officers of the army and government officials and some of corps diplomatic members with their wives residing in Kabul attended the performances of the Indian artists which was organized on the night of 10th Qaus (1st December) in Kabul Nandareh (Stadium) and with the invitation of Ministry of Information and Culture.
Minister of Information and Culture stated that cultural exchange is an important basis of the expansion of friendly relations between countries and is a principle that has been highly focused upon in Republic of Afghanistan. Also the Ambassador of India in Kabul expressed his hopes that the exchanges of artists between India and Afghanistan would take place more often under the new regime.

During this concert, classical dance performances and traditional songs were performed by the famous artists of India which were warmly received by the audiences.
At the end of the concert, the Minister of Information and Culture presented bouquets of flowers to the artists and appreciated their artistic performances. Also, at the time of their departure from Kabul Nandareh (Stadium), Dr. Sharq, the Deputy Prime Minister, received the Indian artists.
In the autumn tournament this year, many teams participated in volleyball, basketball, tug of war and table tennis. Watching the interesting matches between the teams had its own charm.
At the end of these competitions, cups were presented to the winning teams.
On the afternoon of 15th Qaus (6th December) 1976 filming began on the art film "The Ruler," an Afghan Film production. Prior to the start of filming, Professor Dr. Navin, Minister of Information and Culture, expressed his hopes that Afghan film Institute would be able to work within the frame of cultural policies of the republican government and would be able to produce more art movies for screening in the cinemas. Cabinet members were also in attendance.

The movie "The Ruler" portrays the activities of a person within the republic system and is played by new faces; it is going to be completed around mid Saratan (July) of next year. The director of this movie is Mr. Wali Latifi.
As Afghan Film states, "despite limitations of filming, Afghan film will try to produce "The Ruler" so that it is a valuable movie to be screened."
